After we arrived back at Fordham for a new semester the temperatures have finally dipped and winter has definitely begun here in the Bronx. In order to stay warm, snug and comfortable as we venture to class and back in these frigid conditions, take a cue from Devin, a sophomore at Rose Hill.
Sporting thick black leggings and a wide array of knit winter accessories, Devin was the epitome of the comfy yet pulled together winter chic look. At an amazing find of $10, her Urban Outfitters boots combatted the tough outdoorsy hiking boot look with a more feminine approach, adding a hidden wedge and silver loop holes. Moving on up, Devin's cream knit sweater, found at a thrift shop, was a great piece to layer under her black puffer jacket. I highly suggest investing in a quality down coat, as they are a necessity once temperatures drop at Fordham and in the city.
To accompany her already stylish look, Devin added some great winter accessories. Both her cream infinity scarf and brown pom pom hat were bought in France on a recent trip and added some extra oomph to her ensemble. Also, investing in warm accessories such as these is a smart idea as they will come in handy more than you can imagine. I love how Devin worked with all sorts of knitwear, in different patterns, thicknesses, colors and styles, yet made them all flow and work perfectly together. To carry all of her back to school essentials, Devin sported a sea foam green backpack, an unexpected yet playful pop of color. Her silver rings added just the right amount of shine to her relaxed yet cohesive wintry look.
Stay warm!
